Lystrup-based Terma has been selected to provide the Danish Armed Forces with an integrated command-and-control solution for a wide range of counter-drone applications.
The broader system revolves around Terma Helion, the company’s multi-domain data foundation that pulls information from multiple sensors across dispersed platforms into one shared operational picture.
It intends to coordinate different drones together by turning large volumes of data into actionable information, essentially supporting tactical decision-making at both the individual and central levels.
The integrated system also includes OSL Technology’s FACE platform, which is designed to process data from various radar and surveillance technologies using AI. It allows operators to quickly identify incidents in need of immediate action.
Terma said the system is flexible enough to support parts from different manufacturers while giving Denmark control over all information it collects.
To ensure Danish forces can keep up with emerging threats, Terma’s command-and-control offering allows the fitting of future sensors, countermeasures, and other capabilities.
Improving Danish Military Ops
While Denmark already operates drone defense sensors throughout its military forces, the information it collects remains spread out across different systems deployed to different locations.
Terma aims to solve this issue by allowing the Danish military to coordinate decisions and actions more seamlessly, stressing that the system can defend drones at military sites, airports, coastal areas, governmental buildings, and other critical infrastructure from just one capability.
