The US Army has signed a Basic Ordering Agreement with Elsight, establishing a standardized framework for procuring its Halo connectivity suite for unmanned systems.
The agreement allows army units to place orders through a prearranged contracting mechanism, reducing the administrative steps required to acquire the Israeli company’s technology.
It follows Halo’s addition to the US Department of Defense’s Blue UAS Cleared List in April, confirming that the system had passed key cybersecurity and supply-chain reviews for military acquisition.
Halo provides beyond-visual-line-of-sight communications for unmanned aerial, ground, and maritime platforms.
The system uses multi-link bonding to merge cellular, satellite, and radio-frequency connections into a single communications layer.
It also automatically shifts between available links to maintain connectivity under jamming, electronic warfare, or signal loss.
“This agreement further expands our path to rapid military procurement for US Army units,” said Yoav Amitai, CEO at Elsight.
“As unmanned warfare continues to proliferate, defense forces are realizing the value of Halo as the connectivity backbone for high-performance execution of uncrewed missions.”
500,000 Operational Hours
Alongside the army agreement, Elsight is expanding its manufacturing capacity in the US and Germany to support localized defense supply chains as NATO-aligned forces move from system evaluations toward production orders.
The company said Halo has logged more than 500,000 operational hours across over 100 customers globally, including combat deployments and demonstrations for the US Defense Innovation Unit and Special Operations Command.
