Teledyne FLIR Defense has unveiled an upgraded Rogue 1 loitering munition with extended strike range, improved electronic warfare resilience, and a new anti-armor payload for contested battlefield operations.
The Rogue 1 Block 2 doubles the loitering munition’s operational range to more than 20 kilometers (12.4 miles) while introducing a new “shape charge jet” payload designed to improve effectiveness against armored and hardened targets.

Teledyne also upgraded the system’s endurance through redesigned propellers optimized for long-range transit and high-speed attack profiles, alongside new battery cells that increase flight time by 20 percent.
Additional upgrades include dual-band radio support for improved electronic warfare resilience, enhanced GPS-denied navigation using fused thermal and daylight imaging, and onboard computing improvements that enable higher levels of autonomous operation.
“Over the last two years, Rogue 1 has delivered critical successes for customers, and the Block 2 upgrades represent the next evolution of that mission,” said Tung Ng, vice president of unmanned systems North America at Teledyne FLIR Defense.

The company unveiled the upgraded loitering munition during this year’s Special Operations Forces (SOF) Week exhibition in Tampa, Florida.
The Rogue 1 Block 2 is now available for customer orders, with deliveries scheduled to begin in the third quarter of 2026.
